New Addition

On June 5, 2011 Aiden Malio DelleDonne was added to our family. Here is the story for those that are interested.
During work Ame called me to ask what blood pressure needs to be at for us to be concerned. I immediately asked her what it was, it was 148/81. I told her to lie down while I called the on call doctor. Once getting in touch with the on call doctor, we were told to take her straight to labor and delivery, not the emergency room. One problem, I work in Lehi, 30 minutes from the house. I told Ame to call our neighbor and see if she could take her to the hospital. Here's the other problem, church was about 1 hour into the 3 hour block. It is funny how the Lord works. The 12th Ward meetings had been canceled due to an alarm that kept telling the members to exit the building.

Ame got in touch with Erin and off to the hospital they went. Since they were on their way there, I was planning on meeting them there. Since I drive like a maniac, I actually caught them mid-route and followed them the rest of the way. Thank you's to Erin for getting Ame to the hospital safely, and watching the kids while we were there having the baby.

We took Ame to the 3rd floor, labor and delivery. They placed her in one of the triage rooms so that they could check her. Her blood pressure had only gotten worse 155/95 , so the doctor felt that it would be best to induce labor. She was then moved to a labor and delivery room at around 3:30 pm. After getting her situated, her water was broken around 5:00 pm. The labor continued for the next 5 hours. At around 10:00 pm, the doctor got to the room, right on time for Ame to begin pushing.

Now for the other 3 kids that we have had, pushing has not lasted more than 20 minutes. Aiden by golly has to be the exception. Ame was pushing for 50 minutes. There were some issues with his heart rate dropping, his block head, and the fact that he wanted to come out sideways during that time, but our beautiful baby boy is here.

Christmas 2010

The kids arose early this morning at around 6:30 to the gifts that Santa and Mom and Dad got them for Christmas. Makenzie and Emma got a Barbie Dollhose from Santa. Surprisingly Mom and Dad got them some Barbie's to go with it. Stephen got a train table with train set. He also got some trains that can be used with said train table.

This year was great.

Pro Rodeo/Family Vacation

We took a family vacation this summer to Colorado. During the time in Steamboat Springs, we got to see the Pro Rodeo that was in town. Here is a shot of the cowboys getting ready for the bull riding event. Of course this was the last event of the night, and it had gotten pretty cold by this point. We did tough it out, even though we were ill prepared.

Freeman Family Reunion

This weekend we went up to Wyoming (Martins Cove) for the Freeman family reunion. We had a wonderful time learning more about the Pioneers, and understanding (ever so slightly) the hardships that they had to endure.

For those taht have not had this opportunity, please make arrangements to visit this hollowed ground. There is a special spirit there, that cannot really be explained.

We are eternally grateful for our family that decided to plan this for this years family reunion.

Mothers Day

We had a good Mothers Day this year.  Stephen made breakfast for the family.  Since we did get an early start, we were able to get to church 30 minutes  before the start of Sacrament meeting, which means that we actually got a bench.  The kids did the normal during the meeting, but seemed to calm down more towards the end.  Then it was on to teaching for our last time in Nursery.  We will surely miss teaching the kids that we had, and the time that we got to spend together teaching.  Not sure what we will be doing next though.

Jazz Game

This evening I went to the Utah Jazz vs. the Sacramento Kings game.  Our company has a suite where a bunch of us sat and had a great old time.  What really made the evening special was the fact that three suites down from us (apparently it was Governor Huntsman's suite) was President Monson.  From what I could tell, he was really enjoying the game.  Due to the distance, I could not get a pic with my cell.

Our Kids Can Just Sleep

As you can see from the below pics, our kids have the tendency of sleeping wherever they are. It does not really matter to them, as long as they are tired.

Anyone notice the trend with the high chair, 2 kids same spot. I'm not convinced that the high chair is not the most perfect location to take a nap, but I'm not going to argue with them while they sleep.

Making Pizza

Ame had a great idea to have the kids help to make pizza for dinner one night. The only downside is that we have not been able to get the kids out of the kitchen since.

It not only looked good, it tasted just like Ame made it (no offense Ame).

Birthday Fun

Tonight Ame is going out with the girls to get pampered. She has sent a few pics of the pedicure that she is getting, and is having a great time. If the pics would come off the BlackBerry properly, I would post them for all to see.

For those that have not yet had the opportunity, here is our family portrait for 2008. I know that 2009 has already been rung in, but I'm a little slow. We had this taken in Washington while we were visiting Ame's family for Thanksgiving. It was a really neat experience to have everyone home (that means all 9 siblings and families) for this holiday. We made plans to go early, and took off the entire week to make the trek to Basin City. Since we procrastinated (well it was more like timing wasn't right) we decided to do this the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. With the help of our great mother and sister in law, we were able to create this lasting memory.
